During the first season of the series, the story gradually reveals that the Gems are the remains of an advanced interstellar civilization. Most of the places they go to are ancient ruins that are very important to gems’ culture. The Group of Gems had cut off contact with their planet – Mother World, and every gem they fought were gems that lost their human form; this happened by the power of the 3 Needles. Diamond: Yellow Diamond (Yellow Diamond), Blue Diamond (Blue Diamond), and White Diamond (White Diamond). They are the most powerful gems, dominating the Mother World. And 1 Diamond (Red Diamond) is dominating the Earth. In the last episode of season one, the home planet intends to bring other gems to Earth to test the surviving gems and create many new gems. Now, after 5000 years of Rose’s rebellious group conquering the home planet to stop these plots, their plots continue to head towards Earth with two enemies, Peridot and Jasper. In season two, Peridot and his group of Gems stopped Cluster’s formation in the Earth’s core. At the same time, they continued to search for the fusion of Lapis Lazuli (Luu Ly) and Jasper, Malachite (based on Malachite or peacock feathers) lying on the seafloor.
Season 3 launched with many events, such as Peridot was a member of the gems group (Crystal Gem) and found Lapis Lazuli after defeating Malachite. The group of gems was only saved Lapis Lazuli, and Jasper was crashed into an earthquake crack caused by the Cluster.
Season 4 Lapis got closer with Peridot. In the end, two new gems, Topaz and Aquamarine, came to capture each of them according to a list that Steven accidentally read to Peridot. By season 5 – the end of the Steven Universe series, Steven has identified himself as Pink Diamond – Rose Quartz and let 2 Yellow and Blue Diamonds know it. He realized that the deformed gems could be healed by all four diamonds (while Steven is the Pink Diamond), so he went to Mother World to meet White Diamond. He heals the deformed gems. He also liberated Mother World under the rule of 3 Diamonds and became closer to everyone.
